Point Shores Genealogy is currently a blog by Kala McCotter-Mullen, PLCGS. Kala is a certified genealogist and writer based in Lambton County, Ontario. Kala loves family history, general history, and a good origin story. Kala earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English and History in 2014 and has spent the last fourteen years doing her own genealogical research building her own family trees with help from her family members. Kala earned Professional Learning Certificates in Genealogical Studies (PLCGS) in Methodology and Canadian Records from the International Institute of Genealogical Studies. The IIGS is a professional trade school in which students gain credentials by earning 40 course credits.
